“Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.”
To taste of the LORD’s goodness is to experience Him in our lives daily, to live in relationship with Jesus. His Word is food to our soul, strengthening our faith in Jesus. His Word equips us with what we need to serve Him.
There are many different ways we can experience the goodness of God as we live in relationship with Him. When we taste and see that the Lord is good, we experience God’s forgiveness. We know the blessing of being set free of our guilt. When we taste and see that the Lord is good, we experience God’s purity. The book of Titus says that the saving grace of God teaches us to say “no” to ungodliness and worldly passions. When we taste the Lord’s goodness, we also experience the presence of God’s peace. Jesus serves as our Mediator, bringing us into a right relationship with God, the Father, calming our fears and doubts, and replacing them with hope and faith. As we taste the Lord’s goodness, we will learn God’s truth, be guided by God’s will, be filled with God’s love, and benefit from God’s promises.
Today’s Lesson of Faith - The Lord’s goodness is abundant.
