“Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.”
In our age of modern technology, we want things done fast. We have come to expect things to come fast. There is fast food, instant messaging, and express check-out lanes. We have access to breaking news headlines, airplane travel, and the internet which takes us to places far away in a short space of time. Our pace of life is accelerating. This trains us to have little time for patience. But some things need time to grow, like Christian character.
God’s timing is not our timing. He often works slower than we anticipate, but His timing is never late. First Peter 1:6, says, “Now, for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.” Seasons of waiting are not a waste of time in God’s view. He is working in our lives, refining our faith to prove it genuine, and preparing us for our next assignment.
Today’s Lesson of Faith - Patience is a sign that we trust in God’s timing to work out His plan in our lives.
