We ask ourselves, who are we to be brilliant, beautiful, talented,& fabulous...who are we not to be

Today’s Lesson of Faith comes from First Timothy 1:15.

The Apostle Paul wrote, “Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners-of whom I am the worst.”

There are various opinions today about who Jesus is. That question was circulating in Jesus’ day too. Jesus asked his disciples, “who do people say the Son of Man is?” Their reply: Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah; and still others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”

Jesus did come with wise teachings. He came with greater wisdom than Solomon. Jesus did give us instructions for living, but He did far much more than show us the way to live. He revealed Himself as the way to God, the Father. He gave the promise of eternal life to His followers. He would declare a person’s sins forgiven, putting Him in the place of Divine authority.

According to the Bible, the ultimate mission of Jesus save his people from their sins. He was able to turn sinners into saints. He still does for the person who accepts the good news that Jesus came into the world to save sinners.

Today’s Lesson of Faith - Jesus came to offer salvation. Whoever puts their trust in Him to save them has everlasting life.
