Daniel was a person of exceptional qualities. His adversaries could find no corruption in him. Nor was he a man of compromise to his convictions. When a decree was made outlawing prayer to any god or man besides the king, Daniel kept praying to the God of heaven.
Here is how Daniel 6:10 describes his faithfulness. “Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, just as he had done before.” No one would intimidate Daniel from praying to God. His love for God outweighed fear of man. In the end, Daniel yielded to God rather than man.
Daniel is a hero of faith who inspires us to be faithful in prayer even if it is outlawed.
